A Course in Miracles Complete and Annotated

A Course in Miracles is a self-study system of "spiritual psychology" first published in 1976. It contains profound spiritual teachings merged with far-reaching and practical psychological insights. It has been a catalyst for profound changes in the lives of millions of people worldwide and has achieved almost scripture-like status for many of its readers. This Complete and Annotated edition of the Course features extensive footnotes to clarify challenging passages, an appendix of 33 cameo essays on ways to apply its wisdom in your everyday life, plus a detailed Table of Contents for easy reference.

A profound spiritual path that has become a movement in our time, A Course in Miracles (ACIM) presents a curriculum of love in the form of 365 daily lessons. Its influence continues to grow worldwide, with readers from all walks of life and from every major religion. This book explains ACIM's message and its place in contemporary spirituality. The author explores such key themes as personal responsibility, forgiveness, and living in an illusory world. He discusses the work of ACIM's authors and reveals how it synthesizes Christian terminology with Eastern mysticism, perennial philosophy, and modern psychological insights.

The Course was written at a time when the AIDS epidemic was rampant. In the beginning, its author, Columbia University psychologist Helen Schucman, often spoke of her desire to transcend the squabbles and anger that so pervaded the world. She envisioned that a book could help everyone who read it to do the same.

Using the process of inner dictation, she wrote down the Course's words over a seven-year period beginning in 1965. No one else is the author of the text, which ends with the statement: "This is A course in miracles. Please take notes." Initially the three-volume set was published under the Foundation for Inner Peace, which continues to be its publisher. It has since been translated into 25 languages.

Its central premise is that the greatest miracle is to forgive all your enemies, and the only way to do so is to turn off the noise of fear and guilt, and tune in to the peaceful and loving voice of God within you. It is a call to reclaim your true self and re-establish the eternal connection with God and all creation.

This is the first ever audiobook on this subject to be recorded, and it will allow the listener to hear the Course as it was originally taught. Unlike the online versions available for free, this version of the book contains all the original text of the work with the exception of the introduction and preface. It is a must-have for anyone interested in ACIM and who wishes to gain a deeper understanding of its powerful message. The book will also help listeners learn how to apply the principles and lessons of the Course to their everyday lives and experience the power of forgiveness and its healing effects on themselves and those around them.
