It has over 30k threads and is an active place to discuss any topics relating to hacking. The community started in 2003 and is run by a group of hackers who are eager to share their experiences. A recent addition to this community is the TryHackMe forum, which is aimed at helping students learn how to use cybersecurity techniques.

The data was obtained by web scraping and may be used for phishing or account takeover attacks. The hacker who posted the data for sale on the forum claimed to have data for 1.5 billion Facebook users. This data could be used by unscrupulous advertisers or cybercriminals to target users worldwide. If true, this could be the biggest data dump on Facebook in history. Interestingly, the thread that advertised the data scrape has since been removed from the hacking forum. However, the poster was not banned. The seller has denied the allegations.
